Этот мох называется

Weymouthia mollis (Hedw.) Broth. (Meteoriaceae)

Жаль что нет более крупного ракурса, но даже издали этот новозеландский высокогорный вид ни с чем не спутаешь. Благодаря ему такие леса называют "goblin forests" smile.gif, что ваши фотографии отлично передают!

Местные зовут этот мох "old man's beard" moss

Крупный ракурс не получился, темно там очень. А вытащить кусок мха с собой на свет ума не хватило. Но я туда еще вернусь, может на следующий год.

Не совсем так. "Старым дедом" или "бородой" фермеры зовут более сухой и светлый мох, я постараюсь найти картинки. А этот мокрый и зеленый зовут просто "мох".

Впрочем, они те еще ботаники, как и я lol.gif , не исключено, что это одно и тоже растение.
