Eucomis bicolor (Hyacinthaceae)

ЮАР, север горной цепи Дракенсберг, нацпарк Роял Натал, вдоль горного ручья. Март 2010г.

Высота до 25-40 см. Листья 40 х 7 см., килеватые, края волнистые, пурпурные. На нижней стороне листьев множественные пурпурные точки (видно на втором фото). Соцветия 8-22 см., с плотным пучком прицветников, отороченными пурпурным. Цветоносы также покрыты пурпурными пятнами, часто сливными. Цветки зеленовато-белые, с легким оттенком лилового или с лиловой окантовкой (как на фото). Тычиные нити лиловые, с неприятным запахом. Цветут в декабре-феврале.

Эндемик горной системы на востоке ЮАР. Произрастает вдоль горных ручьев, на лугах под скалами на выс. до 2900 м.
