Семейство Спаржевые — Asparagaceae. Многолетний полукустарник высотой 45-55cm. Стебли прямостоячие, чаще всего простые. Побеги превращены в филлокладии, имеющие вид кожистых сидячих неопадающих пластинок с мелкими пленчатыми шиловидными листьями. Филлокладии крупные, продолговатые, заостренные, нижние супротивные, верхние очередные. Цветки (5-6) мелкие, расположены на нижней стороне филлокладия, в пазухе маленького ланцетного прицветника. Ягоды на ножке, крупные, красные, 8-10mm в диаметре, двухсемянные. Цветки распускаются постепенно в течение осени и зимы, весной созревают плоды.
Растет в Средиземноморье и на Кавказе. Встречается в подлеске темно-хвойных, смешанных и лиственных лесов колхидского типа. Возобновляется и растет очень медленно. Вид находится под угрозой исчезновения.

Иглица колхидская, Ruscus colchicus P.F.Yeo - Сем. иглициевые (Ruscaceae)
Вид, характерный для Колхиды, но встречается не часто. Предпочитает тенистые сырые ущелья рек, растет на хорошо дренированой каменистой почве. Вид занесен в Красную книгу Российской федерации. Снимки сделаны 25 марта 2009 года в Гагрипшском ущелье (Республика Абхазия).

Иглица подлистная - Ruscus hypophyllum L. Сем. Иглицевые (Ruscaceae) или, в других трактовках, Спаржевые (Asparagaceae).

Фотографии сделаны 7 июля 2010 года, Алёшкинский лесопарк, около 100 вегетирующих побегов, МОСКВА, ОДНАКО! Явно подарок природы на праздник Ивана Купалы - почти цветущий папоротник по степени неожиданности!! Собрал и определил Ю.А.Насимович. Средиземноморское и закавказское растение. Как появилось, выжило и размножилось в Москве - тайна велика есть.
...Теперь phlomis'у просто так пивом не отделаться...

То же самое место 5 июня 2011 года. Бедный Йорик! weep.gif Ни одного выжившего экземпляра. Зимние холодА ему помогала пережить теплотрасса, проходящая как раз почти под популяцией. Однако экстремальной жары и засухи лета 2010 года этот влаголюбивый вид не вынес.
