Nhandu coloratovillosus (Schmidt, 1998)
syn. Brazilopelma coloratovillosum
fam. Theraphosidae Thorell, 1870
subord. Mygalomorphae

Представитель семейства настоящих птицеедов, обитает в саваннах Бразилии. Выростает до 9см по длине тела и до 22см в размахе лапок. Этот вид, как и большинство птицеедов, отличается длительной продолжительностью жизни самок (до 30 лет у некоторых видов) и относительно короткой самцов- ок. 3-4 лет.
Часто содержится и успешно разводится в неволе.
