Целью курса является теоретическое и практическое ознакомление слушателей с основными методами генной инженерии. Задачи курса:

1. сформировать у слушателей представление о предмете и методах генной инженерии;
2. расширить представление о круге фундаментальных и прикладных задач, решаемых с привлечением генно-инженерных методов;
3. сформировать навыки планирования молекулярно-генетических исследований;
4. сформировать у слушателей практические навыки по проведению генно-инженерных экспериментов и умение интерпретировать получаемые результаты.

В результате обучения слушатели будут:

• знать разнообразие основных методов генной инженерии и умение применять их для решения биомедицинских и биохимических задач;
• уметь планировать, реализовывать и грамотно интерпретировать результаты генно-инженерного эксперимента;
• знать возможности и ограничений методов генной инженерии при решении разнообразных задач;
• уметь самостоятельно приобретать и использовать в практической деятельности новые знания и умения в области генной инженерии с помощью различных информационных источников;
• знать оборудование и специализированное программного обеспечения, необходимых для проведения молекулярно-генетических исследований и анализа полученных результатов.
