В скором времени еду туда, но не знаю с чего начать там и чем закончить тут ))) Подскажите, пожалуйста, искать ли мне позицию постдока, или перманент резиденты могут претендовать и на другие позиции в АУ универах и других предприятиях?

я, конечно, от Сиднея на расстоянии, но ситуация похожая. Ищу работу в сфере бионауки/производства. Хотелось узнать, стратегию вашего поиска. Пообщавшись с местными постдоками и искателями работы, складывается впечатление, что работодатели не очень идут на контакт. Ждите ответа после 200 резюме...не утешительно. Я еще в аспирантуре, в процессе подготовки защиты, но сейчас в Брисбане на пару месяцев, занимаюсь предварительным сечем. А что у вас собственно? предлагаю делиться опытом ))

вообще есть кто-нибудь из Брисбена в науке? ау люди...на самом деле хочется сменить сферу деятельности, но остаться при этом биологом. кто что думает об экотуризме? и как в него попасть за бугром. спасибо!

The Centre for Plants and the Environment at the University of Western
Sydney is evolving into the larger Hawkesbury Institute for the
Environment, HIE. As a consequence, we are undertaking a major
recruitment round for 11 new positions in the following areas:


Bioinformatics

Invertebrate biology including soil fauna

Water movement in soil and plants

Plant molecular biology

Plant/animal interactions

Soil/plant mineral nutrition

Biodiversity and invasive species

Population genetics

Landscape scale hydrology/ecohydrology modelling

Ecosystem/atmosphere modelling


The HIE is interested in attracting enthusiastic researchers at various
stages of their careers (levels B to E) with research activities aligned

Remuneration packages from $93,187 to $179,304 p.a.

Such a great opportunity ! But, of course, if you are living in Sydney... I wonder if somebody is working in Brisbane now. From my side I am going also to spread out the information if I find some interesting one.
One question is arised: do somebody ever tried to write a "statement of claims"? let`s share the experience?
